Keep a Laundry Basket in Your Vehicle to Carry Groceries into the House

Keep a Laundry Basket in Your Vehicle to Carry Groceries into the House

Keep a laundry basket or plastic bin in your vehicle to carry groceries into the house or apartment. Simple, but brilliant! Have you ever had a bag tear whilst delivering groceries from car to house? Carrying multiple bags of groceries at once can be precarious, especially if you have to climb stairs. Just keep a laundry basket in your car. That way any time you do a big shopping you have an easy and safe way to transport your grocery store investment.

Make Your Own Wrinkle Free Hanger

DIY Wrinkle Free Hanger

Make your own wrinkle free hanger. All you need for this hack is a hanger, pool noodle, duct tape and scissors! Cut the pool noodle to the same width as the top of hanger, then cut through half of one side of hanger. Once you have done this, poke the hanger hook through the center of noodle. Slip open side of noodle over the hanger, then secure hook through top of hanger. Fasten the pool noodle at each side with duct tape and there you have it! No longer will you have wrinkles at the shoulders of your favorite shirts or jackets.

Bicycle Inner Tube Rubber Band

bicycle inner tube rubber band

Don’t throw away your used inner tubes! My friend Frank told me about this great bicycle inner tube rubber band hack. Just cut them into rubber bands (or as some folks round these parts call them -elastics). They are really strong and you can cut them into different widths depending on what you’re using them for.

DIY Phone Charging Station

diy free phone charging station

This DIY phone charging station is made out of a 27.3 oz water bottle, so it’s essentially free! All you need is a water bottle, scissors, marker and measuring tape or ruler. Measure approximately 3″ or more from bottom of bottle `(my phone is approximately 3″ x 5″, if yours is larger you should size accordingly and possibly use a larger bottle). At that measurement draw a half-circle around bottle. At the end of each side of that line draw a straight line approximately 4″ toward top of bottle, then join the lines together at the top. Cut along the marker lines. Next, using your plug as a guide, outline the plug in the center of the back towards the top (make sure your phone fits once you hang it on the plug). Finally paint your charging station as you like, or don’t, it’s entirely up to you!

Accordion Rack Jewelry Organizer, Looks Great and Keeps Jewelry Handy

This accordion rack jewelry organizer is a great organizational trick to keep jewelry options clearly in your line of vision. Out of sight, after all, is out of mind. I often forget about the necklaces and bracelets hidden away in my jewelry box. Needless to say I tend to neglect well loved but under used pieces. Bring your trinkets out into the light of day! Just hang an accordion coat hook rack near the spot you make your daily wardrobe decisions, such as a walk in closet or your dresser/bedroom mirror. Easily hang your favorite necklaces, rings and bracelets on the hooks and there you have it!
