Prevent Drill Tear Out

drill tear out

When you drill all the way through a piece of wood, the side the bit goes through is smooth and clean but when the drill bit comes out of the back, it tears and splinters the wood. Prevent drill tear out by placing a piece of sacrificial wood behind the bit as it exits the material.
